Description
We are looking for a motivated researcher eager to take the next step in developing bio-based adhesive systems for the wood industry. Here, you will have the opportunity to explore new synthesis methods and biopolymer modifications, collaborate within the pioneering BioGlue Competence Center, and contribute to solutions that can replace fossil-based materials. The Researcher will be part of the Fibres and Wood Composites group at SLU in campus Ultuna, and will cooperate with other co-workers in exploring new modification methods of biopolymers for wood adhesive applications
Required Qualification/Skills
Applicants must have a PhD in materials science and technology or equivalent related discipline. A track record of participation in research projects on bio-based adhesives is necessary. Experience with polysaccharides characterisation and modification is meriting. The applicant should be able to work independently and should have good communication skills and proven skills in both oral and written scientific English. Proven ability to apply for external research funding is meriting.
