Postdoc in Nanomaterial-based Stretchable Conducting Hydrogels, Linköping University-Sweden

We are hiring a postdoc to work on novel ultra-soft nanomaterial-based stretchable conducting hydrogels towards neural interface applications. The position is in the Soft Electronics group, Laboratory of Organic Electronics, Department of Science and Technology, Campus Norrköping.

  • The postdoc will develop novel ultra-soft nanomaterial-based stretchable conducting hydrogels towards neural interface applications. This constitutes a major challenge, as the materials should combine high electrical performance with tissue-like softness and biocompatibility.
  • As a postdoc you are expected to assist in the leadership of the scientific work within your area and to guide students. Responsibilities can increase in relation to demonstrated abilities.

Requirements

  • To be qualified to take employment as postdoc, you must have been awarded a doctoral degree or have a foreign degree that is deemed to be equivalent to a doctoral degree.  This degree must have been awarded at the latest by the point at which LiU makes its decision to employ you.

  • A suitable background for this position is a PhD in materials science, nanoscience, material chemistry, chemistry, or a related field. Nanomaterial experience is a merit. Desirable personal skills and traits for the position are highly motivated, ambitious, problem solving skills and teamwork ability. Research at the Laboratory of Organic Electronics is carried out predominantly in English, so relative fluency is favorable.
