Discontinuous precipitation (DP) is a solid-state phase transformation observed in many metallic alloys, such as Al, Mg, Ni-based alloys, and HEAs. The project will take place at the Jean Lamour Institute one of the largest French laboratories for material sciences (https://ijl.univ-lorraine.fr/). The institute is part of the CNRS (http://www.cnrs.fr/index.php) and the Université de Lorraine (http://www.univ-lorraine.fr/). The post-doc will work at IJL under the supervision of Maeva Cottura and Benoît Appolaire in close collaboration with Ahmed Dimokrati (Mines de St-Etienne).
Applicants are invited to send their detailed CV, a short statement of research interest and PhD thesis reports (if applicable) to: maeva.cottura@univ-lorraine.fr or benoit.appolaire@univ-lorraine.fr. Letters of recommendation or a contact information for references would be useful.
