Postdoctoral researcher for wearable electronic patches-Ghent University, Belgium

Description

Your research will focus on the design, realisation and evaluation of wearable electronic patches within the framework of various health related research projects. You will conduct the research based on the use of microsystem technologies, flexible printed electronics, stretchable electronics, biocompatible embedding materials and methods. Key responsibility will be conducting experiments including designing, developing, prototyping, evaluating and optimizing these electronic patches.

Required Qualifications
  • You hold a thesis-based doctorate in Engineering Science, Biomedical engineering, Electronic engineering, Physics, Chemical engineering.
  • You have experience with research in micro-electronics fabrication processes using flexible printed circuit board technologies / printed electronics / polymer embedding  including design, fabrication, reliability testing, failure analysis.
  • You have experience in the design of electronic circuits.
  • You have experience with working on research projects with industry.
  • You have experience in disseminating research results, by publishing papers in peer reviewed journals and presenting conference papers at international conferences.
  • You can read, write and speak fluently in English.
  • You are willing to relocate to Belgium.
