3. The next step is to prepare your documents. Here’s a list of the required documents:
– Bachelor’s Degree & Transcript (required for master’s programs)
– High school mark sheet & certificate (required for both bachelor’s and master’s)
– Secondary school mark sheet and certificate (required for both bachelor’s and master’s)
– Recommendation Letters from professors of your previous education
– English Proficiency Letter (a certificate confirming your education was in English)
– IELTS (International English Language Test) results (required by some universities)
– Passport
– Motivation letter / Statement of Purpose (SOP) expressing your interest in the course, program, university, and country
– CV (Europass), which follows the European CV format
– Passport-size photos
– Job experience (if applicable)

4. After preparing your documents, it’s time to apply for university admission. Admission typically opens in October and has a deadline of around June. Expect a response from the university within 2 to 8 weeks.
For application, visit the university’s portal, fill out the application form, pay the application fee(if any), and submit your application.
5. While waiting for the university’s response, prepare the documents for your visa application. You’ll need to attest your educational documents from the relevant boards, the education commissioner, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
5.1. Next, you must show a bank statement for the last six months with a minimum balance of 6,079 euros for your visa application. Be prepared to explain the source of these funds. Other visa documents can be prepared within a week. The Italian diplomatic office provides a visa checklist, so make sure to review it and prepare the necessary documents.
5.1.1. For Islamabad Embassy, You can show bank statement of yourself or your parent’s.
5.1.2. For Karachi Consulate, You can show bank statement of any family member (Yourself, Siblings, Parents)
6. Back to the admission process: Once you’ve received your admission letter, You will need CIMEA or DOV. CIMEA and DOV are equivalent certifications for Italian and foreign qualifications.
6.1. You will need DOV if you are applying from Punjab, KPK, GB, AJK. You will need to make few documents for the DOV and the embassy of Italy will issue the DOV along with the visa.
6.2. You will need CIMEA if your applying from Sindh or Balochistan. Apply for CIMEA on the CIMEA official website.
7. The next step is to submit a pre-enrollment application to Universitaly for the university course in Italy to apply for a study visa. This step is essential, as it involves sending your application to your university for review. Afterward, Universitaly Portal sends the pre-enrollment summary to your respective Italian diplomatic office. Pre-enrollment applications are usually open in March.
8. After your summary is forwarded to the Italian embassy or consulate, you’ll need to book an appointment. Appointments usually open in May, and you can book it through BLS official website.
9. The last step is to apply for regional scholarships. Scholarship applications usually open in July, depending on your region. To apply, determine the region in which your university falls, visit that region’s scholarship page, and submit your scholarship application.
